As with most companies, our people are our most important
asset. Here are some of the people that make Geotech work:
Toni Rich - As co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Geotech since 1986, Toni handles all the administrative, personnel, financial and marketing affairs of the company. Toni is an invaluable asset to Geotech; she manages all of the daily operations of the company so that the technical staff members can focus on their responsibilities.
Dr. David Rich - With a Ph. D. in Geology and experience in computers dating back to 1970, Dave, a co-founder of Geotech in 1986, brings a broad base of technical computing expertise to bear on solving client
problems. He is usually the chief architect of our client solutions, and he is dedicated to providing quality solutions to their problems.
Russ Wendell - Russ is a Geotech software developer and as such is a major contributor to the organization. As one of his college professors put it, "Russ is a natural programmer". He is adept in Access, Visual Basic and databases. He also has a background in Environmental Science and Research. He enjoys working with HTML and Web design. Russ has been with Geotech since 1999, creating databases, both web-enabled and stand-alone for Geotech clients. We're glad to have him as part of our team.
Karen Roney -As Geotech's bookkeeper, Karen brings to Geotech over
ten years of experience in payroll, reconciliations and accounts
payable/receivable. Karen has an excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks,
and is also a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. She is extremely detail-oriented
and has excellent analytical skills. Geotech is very fortunate to have
Karen as a member of our team!
Walter Wood - Geotech is pleased
to have Walter Wood join the Geotech team.
He will be doing some programming, project work, and support for us. Walter has a broad knowledge of Florida geology, surface and ground water monitoring, and databases . He spent seven years with the U.S. Geological Survey, three years
in geotechnical and environmental consulting and twenty-one years with
Lake County in water resources and the environment. Walter was President of the Florida Association of Professional
Geologists 2001 – 2003. His
specialties are geology, hydrogeology, surface and ground water
monitoring, landfill monitoring, GIS, and environmental databases. Welcome, Walter! We are very happy to have you be a part of Geotech!
Chris Watson - Chris has a broad scientific, technical and program management background that includes spatial database application-development, hazardous-waste site investigation and remediation, and complex multi-site environmental design/build construction projects. Chris has a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Technologies from University of Massachusetts Boston and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Physics from the University of Hartford. Here at Geotech, Chris provides support services for both Enviro Data and Enviro Spase as well as network infrastructure and specialized GIS projects. Chris is also a research assistant at UMass Boston where his research activities include coastal and marine spatial analysis, local climate change impacts and Geographic Information Science.
Taylor Maes - Taylor is a graduate of the University of Arizona’s School of Geography. He is experienced in laboratory and field work. Some of the classes he has taken include Environmental Field Studies, Biogeography, Conservation Biology, Remote Sensing, Cartography, Oceanography, Hydrogeology, and Stratigraphy and Sedimentology among many others. Taylor looks forward to expanding his skills at Geotech by doing GIS work, software programming, updating software documentation, updating the Geotech website, and many other tasks.
Ally Gravning - As our newest Sales Associate, Ally shares information with potential clients about Geotech’s Enviro software and services, sets up demos and WebEx’s for clients, directs support requests, and handles all Enviro software maintenance renewals. Ally is also enrolled at Pima Medical Institute, where she is working on getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. Her love of Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Zoology, Trigonometry, Calculus and Algebra, are a great help to her in learning about the environmental industry and database management. We’re very happy to have Ally on the Geotech team!
